Bon Vivant : Culinary Journal
Collaborated with chef and author Hugh Amano on Bon Vivant, a biannual culinary journal exploring global food culture through immersive storytelling and tactile print design. Photographed three of the seven issues - Wood-Fired Cooking, Baja, and Pasta - capturing the craft, atmosphere, and sense of place that define each theme.
The imagery spanned far beyond recipes - documenting the chefs, ingredients, and environments that shaped each story. From local Chicago restaurants and kitchens to culinary travels across Montana, Utah, and the length of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula, each shoot captured the people, places, and textures that bring food culture to life. The work reflected Bon Vivant’s spirit of authenticity and exploration, celebrating the connections and shared joy found through cooking, travel, and discovery.
